Shane has a very flashy personality: he's outgoing, wild, playful, charismatic, cunning, flamboyant, flirt, incontinent, social, self-confident, snob, temperamentical, dramatic, stubborn, a bit of difficult case. He's also bisexual. He loves glamour and clothes, fashion, dressing up, nightclubs, restaurants, parties, celebrations and festivals. He loves attention and people's stares. He's sometimes a bit scandal seeking, he likes to shock people and cause ruckus.

Shane's occupation is an all-arounder. He's interested in so many activities that he couldn't choose what to do and now he's doing it all. He's a model, he does ads and art photos. He's also a nude model but only to art photos or as live model to paintings and such, not porn or anything like that. In his own words, he does always art. Shane also loves dancing and singing and due to that he performs at least once a week in some club. He has his own stage show which mostly includes dancing and flirting. Shane's also been on stage in many festivals and other events. He's done everything from hosting to styling. He's got good contacts and a massive amount of temporary and part-time jobs. Shane is a local celebrity of sorts. He's not very well-known outside New York or modeling circles but he doesn't even want to be.

Aside from posing, dancing and partying Shane has also other hobbies, like crossdressing. He does it now and then for his own amusement and maybe a bit of others', too... Of course a part of the fun is to hit on straight men and reveal the real way of things in a critical stage :D

Shane is American but his great-grandparents from his father's side are from Italy. He has lived his whole life in New York. His father died when he was very small, so he doesn't remember him. His mother is a bit weird and a very bohemian person. When Shane moved away from home a few years ago, his mother left to travel around the world and to write a few books. Shane has dropped out of high school because his other jobs took too much time and he didn't concentrate on school at all.

Shane lives with Erica and Lucie, his two friends and lovers. They have a V-triad, Shane being the hub (=Eri and Luc are with Shane but not with each other). Shane also has a third lover, Ken Rodriguez. Everybody's always joking about this Ken-barbie connection and so Shane ended up with the nickname "Barbie"...

Shane's origin is a mystery, he doesn't even know who gave him his name. Early on he was nursed by a woman of a migrant group who had lost her own child and took care of Shane instead. However, he was taken by a merchant group who later sold him to The Zephyr Academy where he was brought up by the Housekeeper to be a servant. That is where Shane has his earliest memories from although he sometimes gets distant flashes from the migrant group. He's not sure are those real memories or just his imagination, though, he was only three years old when he ended up in Zephyr.

He was taken good care of in the Zephyr Academy although the discipline was sometimes quite harsh. However, Shane has always been a visionarist and believed that he had potential to be much more than a servant. He entertained vivid daydreams of how he would be a great warrior or dragon tamer some day, the latter inspired by the very realistic dreams about dragons he often saw.

He often watched the other boys who were students at the Academy when he was cleaning and scrubbing the floors. He was quite jealous of them and often secretly listened to the lessons and trained in secret. The Head of the Academy caught him a few times at it and was quite angry, he always said that Shane was not fit to be a warrior but that he was a mere servant. He said that he hadn't the control, strenght and intelligence needed (Shane always had a slight build). Of course, money was also an issue. "Ungrateful child, we took you to our care and how do you pay for it?" he would often say. Shane hated the Headmaster but liked the Housekeeper who was a gentle, although strict, woman. Shane was quite a wild child and didn't abide by the rules very well so it was no wonder he was often disclipined.

However, the tides changed after a certain accident when Shane was 13. The school had a new student about the same age as him who often bullied him. One of the times he took it too far and Shane was forced to defend himself and the Headmaster happened to see this. Shane had become quite good in martial arts thanks to his secret training, he was not very strong but he was fast. However, it was not this that raised the interest of the Headmaster but the Mark of Nidin that appeared on Shane's skin when he was wounded. It was believed that the people bearing this mark were cursed by a terrible power granted by Nidin, an ancient evil Queen. Of course, some of these beliefs are just that - beliefs.

The Headmaster believed he could train Shane to be a loyal warrior and they could then use him to fight and intimidate, those marked by Nidin were feared indeed. Shane endured the harsh training for almost 4 years but then he managed to run away. He had no intention of being a weapon of someone else so he left to pursue his own dream: to become a dragon tamer. He met Ken shortly afterwards and they continued their journey together. The Zephyr Academy is still searching for Shane.

Shane himself believes that this whole Mark of Nidin thing is some sort of superstition and isn't at all what people think it is. He has never felt like he had been cursed or anything of the like. He hopes to one day to find out what is the true meaning of the mark. Maybe it's the mark or maybe it's something else but he does seem to have been saved many times by a sudden bout of unnaturally good luck or a burst of energy. After he met his first dragons it also came out that the dragons saw something in him that no one else did. What exactly is this is still a mystery.

His basic personality is about the same as in the Reality verse.
